Fast-setting, rapid-hardening, shrinkage-compensating, steel-fiber-reinforced, flowable high-strength repair mortar. For horizontal concrete surfaces exposed to high dynamic loads and impact.
SikaEmaco® T 1400 FR is a one-component, flowable repair mortar with very high strength, featuring fast setting and rapid strength development. The product is classified as R4 in accordance with EN 1504-3.
SikaEmaco® T 1400 FR is a ready-to-use mortar containing sulphate-resistant Portland cement (HSR LA), hydraulic binders, sands with optimized grading, galvanized steel fibers, polymer fibers (PAN – polyacrylonitrile), and additives that ensure rapid strength gain also at temperatures below 0°C, high durability, and low drying shrinkage.
After mixing with water, a flowable consistency is obtained, which can be easily placed manually in layers with a thickness of 10–150 mm.
Applications of SikaEmaco® T 1400 FR:
- large-area repairs of horizontal concrete pavements exposed to extreme traffic loads,
- repairs of damaged joints,
- bedding of small and large manhole frames using formwork,
- streamlining renovation works in facilities and on transport routes with heavy traffic,
- indoor and outdoor use,
- use at low temperatures,
- applications requiring very short downtime.
Approximate consumption: to prepare 1 m3 of fresh mortar, approx. 2035 kg of SikaEmaco® T 1400 FR is required.
One 25 kg bag and 3 l of water yields approx. 12.3 l of mortar (actual yield depends on the amount of mixing water).
Delivery: 3–5 business days.

Rapid strength gain - return to service after approx. 2 hours (at +20°C)

Easy application

Flowable consistency - facilitates application
Key properties:
Application and execution conditions
- easy application,
- flowable consistency
facilitating application, - after adding gravel
application in thicker layers is possible, - can be used at temperatures
below zero down to -5°C - Very high plasticity
thanks to special steel fibers
Strength and crack reduction
- rapid strength gain
return to service after approx. 2 hours (at +20°C), - high strength
early and final, - low shrinkage,
- minimized susceptibility to cracking
thanks to shrinkage compensation and steel-fiber reinforcement
Durability and service resistances
- excellent adhesion
and durability, - excellent resistance
to freeze/thaw cycles, - resistance to high dynamic loads and impact,
- high resistance to hydrocarbons
- very good slip resistance,
also in wet conditions - Two to three times higher flexural strength
than standard repair mortars
Structural protection and compliance
- very good reinforcement protection
thanks to very low water absorption and good carbonation resistance, - CE marking in accordance with EN 1504-3
R4-class cement mortar for structural and non-structural repair of concrete in buildings and civil engineering works, compliant with EN 1504-3:2005, with a declaration of performance based on a factory production control conformity certificate issued by a notified body certifying factory production control, bearing the CE mark
