4. How to apply Shellac Prime-All?

Apply with a brush or roller to a clean, dry, and degreased surface. Mix well before use. Use in a well-ventilated area – the product has a strong odor.

6. Can it be used under water-based and oil-based paints?

Yes – shellac primer is compatible with both water-based and oil-based paints.

7. Is sanding necessary before painting?

Not always – shellac primer leaves a smooth surface. However, light sanding can improve adhesion, especially with glossy topcoats.

No. Shellac Prime-All is primarily intended for indoor use – it is sensitive to UV radiation and moisture.

Methanol or ethanol can be used for cleaning, as the product is not soluble in water. Clean brushes and rollers immediately after use. It is recommended to use a methanol-based solvent (rectified spirit, technical denatured alcohol, or isopropyl alcohol as a substitute) due to the potential toxicity of methanol.

10. Does Shellac Prime-All block odors?

Yes – it very effectively neutralizes odors from smoke, animals, or flooding.
