Coating for swimming pools and water tanks RO 5500
RO 5500 coating for swimming pools and water tanks is a two-component, solvent-free paint based on epoxy resins, designed for harsh conditions. The coating is characterized by the highest chemical and mechanical resistance. Thanks to its very high resistance to chlorine and weather conditions, RO 5500 paint is ideal for painting swimming pools and tanks, both indoors and outdoors.
The RO 5500 coating for swimming pools and water tanks creates a hard, easily washable surface similar to enamel. It can be used on walls as well as floors.

Note: For complete curing, the resin coating requires 10-14 days of drying (at approx. 20°C). Only after this period can the coating be permanently submerged.
RO 5500 coating for swimming pools and water tanks is designed for use on various substrates, provided that a suitable primer is used:
- on dry and damp concrete - together with DoPox® 30-33 primer
- on old resin coatings – together with DoPox® 30-33 primer
- on clean, sandblasted steel – together with Q113 anti-corrosion primer
- on manually derusted steel – together with 9169 anti-corrosion primer
If the tanks require sealing, the Flexideck system should be used beforehand.
The RO 5500 coating for swimming pools and water tanks was used in 2009 by, among others, the Poznań Sports and Recreation Centers (POSiR). The paints were used on the walls of an outdoor swimming pool, where they have to withstand harsh conditions such as complete immersion, constant contact with chlorine, and exposure to the elements.
