Monovar PU is a single-component, water-soluble polyurethane varnish with low VOC content, designed for impregnating mineral surfaces such as stone, brick, clinker, concrete, and roof tiles. The varnish provides excellent protection against UV rays and changing weather conditions. By forming a coating on the substrate, the varnish impregnates and provides a colorless, waterproof protection for walls.
Monovar PU colorless impregnating varnish is very hard and resistant to scratches and abrasion. It does not yellow, does not change the color of the substrate*, and generally does not leave streaks**. It dries quickly, to the touch in just 2 hours. It creates an easily washable, aesthetic finish in high gloss, satin or matte. The varnish has a PZH certificate for use in public spaces.

Note: The varnish has limited vapor permeability. For exterior walls, use only if the wall is three-layered (with an air gap to protect against water vapor condensation and cold).
* There are various materials, different concrete mixes, and different paints. It is always recommended to test on a smaller area to check whether the aesthetic effect is satisfactory. Available in 1-liter containers.
** Monovar PU spreads very well. However, as with all varnishes, to reduce streaking, it is not recommended to apply it in conditions where it dries quickly - for more information, see NZP.
