Scalpex NW paint stripper

Scalpex NW paint remover is a highly effective gel-based solvent. It is based on a combination of partially biodegradable solvents that are non-toxic and non-irritating. Scalpex NW is virtually odorless. The product is suitable for removing all coatings based on organic binders.

Scalpex NW loosens old paint coatings from various surfaces, including wood, metal, and concrete. It guarantees very fast action and high effectiveness. It works particularly well for renovating smooth surfaces such as metal, ceramics, etc.

Application:

Single-component paints:

The product dissolves most coatings effectively and quickly (3-15 minutes). The agent is particularly effective for:

  • phthalic/alkyd paints
  • acrylic paints
  • chlorinated rubber paints
  • oil paints
  • elastomers
  • powder paints
  • road paints

Two-component paints:

Limited effect of the agent, i.e.:

  • complete detachment in the case of two-component paints applied to compact substrates (e.g., steel, tiles). Complete detachment is usually achieved within the first few minutes
  • Slight dissolution in the case of more porous substrates (e.g., rough concrete).

Therefore: in the case of two-component epoxy or polyurethane paints/resins, we suggest conducting a test.

Consumption: 300 to 600 ml/m² - depending on the type of surface

How to remove paint?

Removing paint with Scalpex NW is very easy. The product is designed for removing old paint from mineral, wooden, metal, ceramic, and other surfaces. It removes paint without damaging the surface.

  1. Apply the product evenly to the paint coating.
  2. Wait 3-45 minutes for the product to react. Some thick paint coatings may require additional treatment - in some cases, this time may be extended to several hours.
  3. Remove flaking old paint with a putty knife or scraper.
  4. After use, clean the surface with a cleaning and degreasing agent, fresh water, or white spirit, and dry before applying the next coat.

Note: Paint
removers are chemicals that can gasify. For this reason, the pressure in the container increases. Open the containers carefully and slowly to avoid rapid pressure changes that can cause the material to splash.
