Reflective microgranules

Reflective microgranules are small, colorless balls that reflect light. They work like micro-lenses—they focus the light directed at them and reflect part of it in the opposite direction. After application, the surface has a shimmering finish.

Reflective microgranules are used in horizontal and vertical markings to ensure safety, e.g., on roads, barriers and road barriers, parking lots, as well as for artistic purposes in decoration, artwork, etc. Available in two granulations:

• 125 - 600 μm - give a less rough texture but reflect light to a lesser extent
• 425 - 850 μm - give a more visible, rough structure, but reflect light to a greater extent

Yield: approx. 1 m²/package

Application: 

1. Sprinkle/blow the microgranules onto the freshly painted surface (while the layers are still wet) and leave the substrate to dry.
2. Then remove any remaining loose microgranules from the surface.
3. To ensure adequate abrasion resistance, the surface should be protected with Monovar PU clear varnish or, in the case of floors, with Hydrograff HP varnish.

Note: For the light reflection effect to be noticeable, use a strong light source (e.g., car headlights). Otherwise, the effect will not be visible.
